Hi everyone, I plan on getting a new amp soon. Ive narrowed it down to either the rebel 30 with a 1x12 cab or the renegade with the tourmaster 2x12 cab. I think they both sound great. I am mostly playing at home for now and jamming with some friends, however I want to be in a band some day and not buy a whole new amp. will the renegade be too loud/big for me right now? and can the rebel 30 play with a band? which do you think would suit my needs best.

I have the Renegade head and TM 2x12 and love it. It's a great amp for what you're going to use it for. It is a little more to lug around weight wise, compared to the Rebel 30 1x12, so if weight and size is an issue go with the Rebel.
The Renegade does bedroom volume fine, but it sounds better with the master around 1-2:00 which is pretty loud for home. From what I've read and heard the Rebel 30 can hold up to band levels too, 30 watts of tube power is plenty loud. Tone wise, both amps are similar, though the Renegade is going to give you more headroom.
I'm actually looking to buy a Rebel 20 and matching 1x12 to use as a "lighter" alternative for playing at home or jamming at a friends house. For the price both amps sell for used, can't go wrong having both.

A friend has the Renegade and it sounds rad. He cranks it in a practice space and it's perfect. You could also get one of those iso-cab boxes for recording at home.

I like the Renegade much more than the Rebel. Just think it sounds better.
