Received my Washburn Parallaxe today.

Initial look was beautiful! Wine Burst finish looked great. Then I got into better light and noticed a bunch of pock marks on the arm rest and one between pickup and bridge. Also swirl marks over most of the guitar on the finish, even on the stephen's cutaway on the black paint on the upper horn. At this point I know it's going back but need to check out how it plays and sounds. The guitar was tuned in Eb which i thought was odd, but fine with me. The guitar played and sounded great. Floyd was solid and stayed in tune. Only gripe about the playability was where the pickup switch was located. The tremolo bar blocked normal access to it, plus it was in an awkward positioning between the two knobs.

Overall it was a cool guitar and will ask for a replacement.

Sounds like you may have received a guitar that someone else tried and returned, which would explain the swirl marks and odd tuning (for a brand new retail guitar).
