Hello... Here's my first post. I've sure read a lot here!

I'm a guy who has owned a lot of amps over the years. I have sold off a Soldano, a few Marshalls and some Mesas I never thought I'd get rid of once I got my first Diezel. It was a Herbert I bought a few months ago.

But, Herbert was not enough. I wanted more of that tasty Diezel tone! I just got a Hagen too. I love them both for different reasons. It is neat how they both sound like Diezel amps, yet are voiced very differently. I want to personally thank Peter Diezel for helping me find tones I've been trying to achieve for many years. Much respect.

My Herbert is serial 001/940
My Hagen is serial 000/130

Is there a way to date when my amps were made?

Thanks, and rock on...

Welcome to the board and thank you for the kind words.

I will try to date your amps tomorrow.

001/940 was shipped on 12.12.2007 to Salwender International

000/130 was send on 01.31.2012 to NJ

Best,
Peter

Peter, could you please date another amp? Herbert 001/937

Thanks again, Peter!

No pics at the moment, but it looks like the demo video with that Josh fellow on the Diezel website. Except I have the Hagen sitting on top of the Herbert. Haha!!

Welcome to the Diezel family...

Glad you're finding all the sonic nirvana in these 2 brilliant amps :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk:

Thanks, Uncle Mo.

Your posts were a guiding (but not deciding) source for me while I was choosing between tracking down a VH4 or a Hagen. It made me study up on a LOT of You Tube videos to feel like I had properly discerned the tonal differences between those two. I'm fairly certain I made the right choice for me!

My pleasure Nodnarb25... I love talking shop about Diezels. As much as I'm known for being a "VH4 snob", I'm wide open to ALL of Peter's amps - not JUST the VH4. Honestly, the Hagen's been rockin' my world for over a year now and it's not going anywhere - but interestingly enough - I have a friend who'll be using my session space for the month of October who has many amps, one of which is a Herbert. So I'm going to be comparing the Hagen, VH4, VH4S and Herbert together for the few days that I'm here before taking off to go surfing. Who knows?? Maybe the MkII will grab me by the nuts and I'll add one of them to the family too in time :D

Can't have too many Diezels...

Cheers,
Uncle Mo
