Recommend a decent, full sounding 1X12 cab

Something not too expensive.

I need something small for jams...the 4X12's are getting a bit annoying to move around.

I was thinking Avatar cause i really like their stuff but i kinda want something second hand so i'm open to some other suggestions.

Also, speaker suggestions??? I'll be running a Mesa Mark III through it and I want it to sound rather big.... for a 1X12.

Avatar OS 1x12 & EVM12L or 12L black label if you can swing the buck. Add some batting inside on the back panel & you are golden. I use one with BL EVM for rehearsal & not only & it kicks, also comfortable to sit on Bogner Cube is a little great box too, but again you'll need to change the speaker. Expensive.

Avatar just offer celestion and eminence speakers i think... at least the canadian distributer does. It`s a partial open back too, so the batting would be pointless i think.

You can get WGS as well from them.

I have an Avatar G112W, the wider 112 cab that they sell, and it sounds really good IMO.

They have a closed back option.

The speaker you have to buy separately, but it's worth it.

Thiele is not that bad either with EVM.

What's EV Force like?

Like a fuller sounding EVM12L with bigger mids that weighs about 66% as much. I have a pair in my Emperor 2x12!

I wanted the same for my Boogie Mk IV, small but big sounding and for years I used a pair of Mesa Thiele 1-12" cabs loaded with EVM-12L's then about a year ago I took a shot in the dark on a new cab. I bought a Lopo 1-15" sealed back, front loaded cab in triple black (vinyl, grill cloth & hardware) to match the Mk IV and loaded it with an Eminence Commonwealth speaker which is modeled after the old JBL-D130 speakers from back in the 60's-70's. It was a wise (lucky) combination that really is better then any 1-12" cab I've ever heard and that includes the pair of Mesa Thiele cabs. It has better highs, better lows, and more punch. And only one cab to drag around that weighs very close to the same as either one of the Boogie cabs. Speaker & cab total approximately $330. I can't find anything on ebay that is available to canada right now.

I'm gonna try to find a Theile cab if i can.

I'd really like to buy from canada too, so i don't have to deal with duty fees and all that.

Something like this would kick ass!! And not too pricey either!!

The PortCity OS 1x12's and Cornford OS 1x12's seem like they would be bad ass too! But probably not as affordable...
