What's a good Chorus Pedal, does not add extra noise, true bypass, good tone?

What are your recommendations?

I have an ancient Arion Stereo Chorus, but it is very noisy, and I want to replace it.

Thanks!

Do you really want chorus, or just to fatten up the sound? BOSS CE-20 is crazy-flexible but is a double pedal. Might want to see if you can get your hands on an old BOSS Dimension C or D. (Included in the CE-20).

Get one of the EWS modded Arions. Sounds great and true bypass

Analogman Clone Chorus. Sounds killer. Plus it's simple and to the point.

I want to add some modulation to some single note cleaner runs (Iron Maiden style in a way).
Not exactly harmony, but just more into the single note stuff...Don't think I'm looking for delay, more chorus sound I think...

Not too hot on the Boss stuff anymore, due to all the HISS they typically add into the signal...
I want it to be clean, and also not increase the volume and high end.

I meant for years to sell that Arion chorus pedal, but for some reason, it just didn't make sense to. to cheap to begin with. But typically useless because of extra noise and it boosts the volume.

Thanks for the suggestions, keep em coming!

Strymon stuff is top shelf to say the least. I've had a great time myself with a TC Corona. Given what I do with it, I can't justify getting an Ola from Strymon.

If you want true bypass you're basically limited to a mono chorus. By far the most stereo units have buffers.

Giga

I went with the Red Witch Empress Chorus, and really like it.

Not exactly true. My AnologMan Bi-Chorus is both stereo and true bypass.

My CE-5 is dead quiet. No hiss, nothing at all.
None of my Boss pedals make ANY noise. Gain or clean.
Just sayin'.

The Tortuga has a second vibrato effect that in low setting really thickens the tone and can stay on for leads. Super warm and lush pedal. Made the MXR I had sound like crap.

Let me know when you got some time and I'll bring down the CE-20 and we can go through the settings. Besides, I gotta hear these Krank amps!!!

I have been using the Hardwire Chorus for a little over a year and have no urge to replace it.

Jacques Meistersinger!

Great pedal, but mono and not true bypass.

My recommendation is a Maxon CS-9pro, pretty good deals for them on the used market. I will say I am not a huge Chorus user and am often blown away by what most highly recommended chorus pedals go for.
