Recommend a portable video camera among these choices....

1. GoPro Hero 7 (will probably add and external microphone, maybe Rode or Sennheiser)

2. Zoom Q2N

3. My IPhone XS with a Shure MV88+Video Kit

I’m basically looking for something portable that will give me great quality video resolution and great sound. I’ll use to tape practice sessions. Money is not a consideration, so any of these options fall within budget.

Your recommendations are greatly appreciated.

I have a Zoom Q2HD. The sound is great. I’ve made several gear videos with it. It’s not what I’d use if video quality was important. It’ll do, but its not fantastic. The sound is perfect tho.

Ditto! I have a Q2N and it is fabulous. I mount it up to the mic stand, press record and good to go. As pointed out, sound is great!
