I posted this clip already in the main forum in a NAD thread, but it got buried and I figured that here would be a better place to solicit opinions.
The clip:
The recording setup:
- PZM wedge right on the cab baffle.
- Mitchell donut beam blockers
- EQ bus to flatten PZMs' HF-rise.
- Detuned Peavey XXX 4x12 with Force 12's in the top row and the bottom left empty.
- Fryette PS-100 with Presence and Resonance off, reactive load switches set in the middle.
- Feb '82 4104 with mids cap removed, master maxed.
Anyone have critiques, technical, preference, or otherwise? Previous issues largely resolved are the roomy sound of distance mic'ing, string bleed from using an omni pattern mic, and stereo image issues.
