Started a thread about the topic some time ago and bought a Mac (IMAc) in the end. Here my opinion so far. After some initial trouble with the audio interface everything went smooth. Like the grapic- and sound card on the Mac as well as the sound quality of the recordings with the UAD Apollo Twin. Making soundclips works really well. The thing i really do not like is that the video editing software that is Mac compatible is NOWHERE near as user-friendly as Vegas moviestudio. I find both Adobe Pro CC and Apple`s final cut pro nowhere near as easy and intuitive to handle than Vegas Movie studio which is super easy to use compared to the Mac software.

I'm a Mac guy through and through, have been since OS8. These days, the big difference is really in UI design, which is a personal preference thing. I'm very comfortable in Logic's environment. I do find Final Cut Pro to be a bit messy, but I do very little with video anyway.

I'd like to pick up an Apollo Twin and use their amp sims. The Friedman sims sound killer!

Mixbus sounds awesome! Cheap and gives you great eq and compressors as well. The console emulation is exactly what is needed in today's digital world and you actually feel like you are working on a mixer or console.
