Reload sounding not good

Hi. I just purchased the Two Notes Torpedo reload. I was a bit disappointed with the sound of it. I use Marshall plexi 50w, Bassman and other tubeamps, but the sound of it isn't the same as the speakers themselves. It seems to be thinish with a treble top that seems to seperate the sound into two. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. I take the speaker out to the speaker in on the reload, then the loadbox out to my Cubase Pro 9. Guitar goes into the amp front.
Is this how it should be or?

Best.

Can you show a photo of your impulse loader?
Make sure it's set to 100% wet.

maybe upload a short clip if possible.

It's the Wall of sound 3...

Or maybe it's just the fact that you can't use the Wall of sounds 3 on the input channel. Meaning you can't monitor the sound of the cabs as you record?

I am also a bit puzzled by the fact that fx Amplitube works in insert on the audio input channel, but the WOS# doesn't?

I believe this unit is intended to be used as a D.I. and load box d.i.

so you record your raw guitar tracks for re-amping purposes, and i would assume you record the pass through to your amp as well. with the amp feeding the load box D.i. + speaker sim.

few pointers, Pick a mic you are familiar with. unless your loaded i highly doubt you are familiar with using a 121.

experiment with distance an angle. (sadly no tilt unless there is an update i'm un-aware of to WoS3)

I personally wouldn't mess with the presets aside from the 1x12 ev profile they have. used that config so much that it is easy for me. I would make your own impulse of your own cab and use the tools as fine tweaking

Why it shouldn't? That's how I and I think everyone uses theirs. You have smt wrong going on there.

Make sure you are monitoring 100% of the impulse, and 0% of the direct input

I have a Reload.. there is slight slight coloration and sound difference between straight to speaker vs the attenuation or load but not by much. WOS for me is a bit of a bitch. Just bypass it for the sake of this test. What I would do is load a free impulse loader like Nadyr and just try the line out from the reload into your DAW and arm the track with the free loader. Then make sure you can monitor while running it without much lag and you should be good to go.

This

You can grab NadIR here http://www.kvraudio.com/product/nadir-by-ignite-amps

I never had much luck with WoS III to be honest. So far been liking the Ownhammer heavy hitters pack and the Celestion plus IR's...

Btw has anyone tried the new Celestion redbacks? Just saw them just now, must be new. -> https://www.celestionplus.com/speakers/ ... 0-redback/

and make sure to turn off direct monitoring on your interface, so you don't hear the direct unprocessed signal from the reload
