Can't believe it's been 22 years today since Steve passed.
Such a unique riffer and made guitar playing look cooler than anyone with his Les Paul slung low to his knees!
Certainly one of my early inspirations.

Yeah, somehow I doubt the would have done stuff like "Two Steps Behind" and "Miss You In A Heartbeat" if he was still around.

I was rehearsing with my band when the keyboardist came and announced he died. we used to rehearse right across the street from the world famouse "Doll HUt" A little dive in Anaheim. Social D used to play there quite often.

I was out with some friends for my birthday when we heard the news...it definitely cast a dark shadow over the evening's festivities. I didn't much care for what Def Leppard had become by then, but I still loved Steve's contributions from their first three albums. They should have called it a day when he passed and reformed as something new...he was the heart and soul of that band IMO.

An early influence for sure, and a sad passing. I heard from our singer when he came to practice. Hard to believe so much time has passed, 22 years, wow!! As far as Def Leppard they were never the same without him, but they have persevered through a lot, so I respect them as a group for that. Most bar bands cannot fight through the drama......

RIP Steve. Listening to Def Leppard Albums after Steve, you can sure see what he brought to the table.

He was the heart and soul of that band for sure. RIP

Dude must have had some monkey arms to hang a guitar that low and still reach it.

Steamin' Steve was the epitome of cool, swagger for days. And his fingerprints are all over those early DL riffs. I agree, they aren't what they once were but they're still a great band, just not Def Leppard.

Another tragic waste in the departed before his time roster. My favorite Def Leppard is High and Dry with Steve and Pete Willis. Pyromania is obviously good, but I can live without anything else they've done since then.

Great riff writer, clearly the creative force for good songs in that band. Havent gotten close since he passed.

Not written for him, but dedicated to his memory. Tesla...
