I dont know about that but a schematic would be nice regardless...Mine is holding up great but I take care of my stuff...

Tubes are like 95% of "issues" with a tube amp. You have to keep them tuned up (bias) and have good tubes in them. If you do that, you'll be happy. The Eggie guys will take care of you if there is anything wrong with your amp. But you do have to do your share as is the case with ALL tube amps!

You should not have any reliability issues with the design and build. You may have reliability issues with the tubes. Right now tubes are really bad especially when using them in mass quantity, like our lines. Everyone is having the same issues. Have back up tubes become familiar with the amp and what tubes do what and this will allow you to troubleshoot and issue when it may arise!

I have had mine for two months now and it has been rock solid. Even survived a little "accident" ...

My new Renegade had issues and I sent it back to MF and exchanged it for a Rebel 30 which started out great but died yesterday and after some trouble shooting over the phone and the determination it is likely not tubes, is going back today in exchange for another one. I guess I'm thankful that I have other amps and I bought mine at MF with their exchange and return policy. The Egnater folks have been great but I understand your concerns. You expect a new one to perform, without issues.

I don't have the Renegade, but I have had a Tourmaster for about a year with essentially no problems. When I was looking Itried out 3-4 Tourmasters and was impressed with how consistently good the tone out of them was.

It sounds like your problem is either tubes or GC. I can believe either one.

I've had mine for a little over two months. Many practices, several gigs and working great! Built like a tank, great tone, innovative design, user-friendly and consistently great every time I play through it.

I've owned a Tourmaster for a year and a half, with no issues.....Tubes are an issue these days, I don't care who makes the amp.....The build quality on the Egnater line is top notch....Your issues seems to be with GC, not Egnater....If you've never had any tube problems, consider yourself lucky....

I turned two (possibly 3) pre's microphonic this weekend in my modded Brahma and KH3 modules doing some tone testing. I guess they didn't like getting warm and then being pulled in and out of my RM50's going back and forth listening to power tube differences.

One was a new Tung Sol I just had delivered a few weeks ago with very little play time, another was an EH's, and the third was a JJ.

No issues here. Mine is very solidly built. I bought mine from Indoor Storm, where I know they take care of the stuff they have out on the floor. I'm not trying to bash GC, but I have seen some equipment get pretty abused there - the stores are too big and the staff often too nonchalant for them to truly police it and make sure no one is abusing the gear. I wouldn't be so sure that it was a "mistake" that they sold you a returned unit. I've returned stuff there, specifically told them there were issues, and noticed them immediately put it back out on the floor.

Try having them order one for you and tell them you want to pick it up still in the box, rather than buying one off the floor. Either that or buy one from Indoor Storm and have them ship it to you.
