So Friedman amps have caught my attention and I've been reading up on them & watching various YouTube demo videos of them.

Almost all my other amps are of the high gain variety and since the covers band I was in for over 10 years just disbanded, I'm trying to get inspired and possibly might sell some of my high gain amps to fund a Friedman amp.

I figured I'd post on this thread to get input and suggestions, thanks in advance! 😃

@Monkey Man , could you please move this post to the Rig Talk section, thank you!

You really can't go wrong with any of them! I've owned several! I like simple layouts and not a lot of bells and whistles. I currently have a Smallbox and a PT20 V2 Combo.

Personally I think the Steve Steven’s sig is one of the coolest

The 50watt JEL is gonna be the rawest of the offerings

The plex is a sonic replica of Dave’s personal 50 watt plexi head

Just depends on what sound you’re after? If non high gain definitely check out the plex and the dirty Shirley…maybe even the twin sister

Just watched some JEL 20 demos on YouTube and that seems interesting!

Are you using it to record direct or are you using it with a cabinet?

If looking at the JEL, the IRJ get's you very close for recording purposes. For that matter, the IRX does the same for the BE series. You're not moving air but you can get a great tube vibe into your DAW of choice.

For conversations sake, I got this mount of Amazon for 9 bucks and if I want to record via the AXE FX at midnight, it's pretty convenient.
