In less than 4 weeks, I returned two (used) guitars for not being as described. Both were from sellers who had no prior history of disputes. One guitar had bent parts, along with a third hole that was drilled for strap button. The other ('78 Ibanez Iceman) had been refretted by someone who has no business working on stringed instruments. I'm hoping we can still workout a deal on the Ibanez. I've wanted this particular Iceman model since I was a teenager.
Given the insane prices for used instruments, sellers are becoming less judicious when it comes to description accuracy. The seller of the Ibanez did everything he could to get out of refunding my purchase. If the strings were not 1/4" above the 12th fret, the guitar wasn't playable. I've made one last purchase... If this one isn't what it's advertised to be, I'm done with purchasing used guitars online.
