Wow… Schecter C-model line of guitars

The C-1 Exotic Star are sweet and if the photos are any indication it looks like it’s strangely beautiful instrument.

The Exotic Star apparently features a highly quilted maple top over an arched mahogany body, and is available in three different hand-tinted gloss finishes, Snow Leppard, Lava Red, and Cayman Blue

Other features include a 3-piece mahogany neck set-in, 25.5“ scale length, bound ebony fretboard with ‘nautical star’ inlay at the 12 fret, Schecter’s ultra-access neck joint, a pair of SuperRock-2 Humbucker pickups with finish-matched wooden bobbins, grover tuners, and a TonePros tune-o-matic bridge with string-thru-body tail.

The Schecter C-1 Exotic Star is listed at major retail outlets, and carries a suggested retail price of $949, but looks like the price is in the $650-700 range.

you can also find them neck-thru but rarely. i've got one of the pre-star ones and i don't know if it was an accident, but it's neck-thru.

i bought it on the fact that i got an amazing deal (was mispriced at a new GC, some newb :D ). it's pretty sweet an incredibly lightweight but it doesn't compare to my prs. however, it was 1700 cheaper than my prs. it's a bit more aggressive sounding on the treble end than the prs though. beautiful looking guitar but the satin finish gets fucked up real easy...way too thin.

edit: i would also question consistency on some. i remember playing one in a store not long after i got mine that was nothing like it. the specs weren't the same nor did it sound as well. the pickups in mine are actually labeled with the schecter pickup logos whereas these were blank. so definitely play the one you're going to buy.

I played a C-1 Elite for a while. Definitely more aggressive on the treble end of the spectrum. I was so used to my Epi LP's low end. I missed it, so I eventually went back to my Epi. I liked the playability of the C-1. Just not the tone I was looking for.
