I recently got a brand new Rev Generator 120 MK2. They are really awesome amps. I love the 10 watt mode. I usually swap amps pretty fast once I get them because I am not satisfied with them, but this one is going on 3 months which is record for me lol. The only gripe I have is the second channel, I was expecting more crunch but its more of a clean overdrive sound. Channel 1, 3, 4 are amazing. Especially channel 3 with aggression mode 2 selected. I wish I could post decent clips of it, but I only have my iphone 6s which would do no justice to the sound. Lot of cool features on the amp. I do know one other person on this board with an MK2 as well and he seems to dig it as well.

I've been wanting a 7/40, but after seeing a couple of Youtube demos, I'm thinking the 120 is the one to get.

I have a Revv 120 on order, should be here in a few weeks. When it arrives i'll post some clips and tones

Would you guys say the high gain tones are 5150ish ?

Channel 3 to me, just my opinion, gets pretty close. Really aggressive and a nice bite.

I tried my buddies Gen 100 and it sounded like a super 5150 ( tighter low end, more aggressive mids ) i knew i had to have one, so i ordered a 120 with every option and with KT88's and 6L6's.
