Here is a new rack I just finished for Richie Sambora. Guitar comes into the rack and hits 2 RJM Effect Gizmo's with all the pedals in them. Then it hits the Custom Suhr amp switcher which i added a line out . The Suhr switcher switches between 2 heads of choice into a dry cab. The line level portion of the rig can be used in 2 ways. One is with the line out to feed the line level effects and the other is the BAE mic pre. Any way either feeds the line level effects and then to the power amp or the D.I. Enjoy

Thanks for posting that Dave!

I just saw a Bon Jovi show a few weeks ago and he had some great tones going on. I wish I had seen them after you made the rack for him. :)

Excellent work as usual

Just out of interest, what are the heads he is using?

I think he's still using DSL100's...am I right Dave? Awesome job, BTW. Makes my rig look like a Fisher Toy.

Dave that's some fantastic work man, seriously great attention to detail, really killer organization, your a master man... Seriously, I don't even think I'd know where to begin when doing the design phase of all that.

If you could fill me in, do you buffer all the lines to give them a stronger signal, thats got to be a lot of cable length running right? I just am curious how you keep up the guitar signal strength through all of that wiring! Or maybe it doesn't travel as far as I might think haha.

That wiring layout is some of the neatest work I've ever seen... ART!

Awesome Job!

Best,

very interesting to see api rack gear in there, what does he use that for exactly? i see an eq , give us the scoop Dave...

The more important question is, how many bags of wire ties did that job take ?

Yeah, now that Dave is through messing around with Richie's kit, he can finish up my Marsha

it's amazing how many people are having racks and pedalboards done between rack systems ltd and la sound design

just goes to show you that the top names in the world still rely on the tried and true formulas of pedals and rack fx for the ultimate in live sound.

hey dave how much freedom do players give you to suggest gear choices to them? i noticed the tone freak trem and i suspect that was your doing....is that common for you to tell them what specific pedal they should use for a specific effect?

and can you fill eddie's rig with marshas please? :D

I moved to LA once, just to get near the music business. Things didn't work out in Mobile though.

Dammit, I thought they meant Lower Alabama
