Live in Melbourne, Australia last night...pretty damn cool. From what I have heard, Richie and Orianthi will be collaborating on an album together.

EDIT

Here's the other video

I saw both bands in Sydney last weekend at Soundwave Festival. Living Colour were phenomenal!!! Got to meet Vernon, Corey and Doug from LC as well. Cool dudes for sure!

I adore Richie, but this was a shitty performance. I like impros but this was horrible.

Horrible?

It's just a jam man.

I wish I was as good as everybody on the internets. ;)

Good gawd was Richie awful in that jam. Sour note city  His tone was pretty awful too. Orianthi's tone was more clear and had better bite..and was in key, but had that 'pick as fast as you can' mess going on :aww:

Maybe I'm too critical?

Oh c'mon. You can find tons of superb jams on yt. But this isn't. And don't get me wrong, I'm one of the hardcore Richie fans. But not of this jam.
And the two played together but not together. I don't know how to describe it with my poor English. But you can hear it, or obviously not????

Usually I try to stay away from saying negative things but...Richie was playing out of key at times, not the Richie I remember.
Hope he's not drinking it up and trashing himself.
Can see why he's not on the Bon Jovi tours at the moment.

Richie was paying homage to Miles man, he was playing outside that's all! ;)

Note, I've not watch the vids yet (will catch them @ home where I have speakers), but if Living Colour was playing I don't see how anyone could play/sound worse that Vernon Reid has always sounded in EVERY soloe.

I agree on Vernon Reid.

Not hating on the guy. I've heard Richie pull off a much tastier solo in the past...I thought that video was

There's a better version from the night before without glover. From what I found out, this was off the cuff, not rehearsed...you can even see richie using hand signals. As at as the tone, he's playing a Friedman and Ori is through a 5153. Difference is that her cabs are right near the camera so you're getting most of her and the Friedman is kinda blocked by people throughout. I'll see if I can find the other video.

As for him not being on tours, that's been put to bed and all confirmed what the reasons were.

New vid posted up top.

Yeah sounds like a jam after a few Cognacs and 7 or 8 beers...Youre right into it with the rock faces...Its still fun though but you shouldnt video tape it....the next day watching it youre going  lol

Any jam is a good jam...keep playing!!! Who fucking cares what the critics think.

I was at the Enmore Theatre gig in Sydney and I can tell you that Richie's tone cut through alot more than Orianthi's. Here's was shrill by comparison.

Absolutely gorgeous Australian woman that can play guitar like that? gimmmmme
