How do you fellas afford all this excellent gear? There's seems to be some hard working/financially comfortable people around this message board, and I'm curious what everybody does during the day when they're not hacking away at the keyboard and posting NADs for me to drool over.

I'm only 22 and technically a college student although I recently dropped most of my classes. I deliver food for a third-party company that mostly caters to the "upper class", which barely makes minimum wage, but there's nothing I can do about that since it's all under the table and it's hard to find decent employment with a GED and criminal record. I have a cool boss and a malleable schedule to work around my classes and music pursuits. I don't make much money, but I don't have too many expenses and I'm apparently decent enough at managing money to afford my gear and other interests (ie; booze).

:D

You think gear is expensive? Just wait until you buy a house.  And just wait until you get a wife and she drags you to Crate and Barrel.  When you start looking at couches, a new bed, and table and you're over 10k then that next $2,000 guitar doesn't seem to bad.

Awesome comment RJF!

I'm an economist and I value companies at an audit firm.

I pay for my gear by investing in stocks mostly. Thank you M and QCOM for my new Ibanez! :D

Musician

and my wife and I opened an optometry practice last February...still trying to build that up.

The musician part helps pay some of the bills leaving me no money for new gear.
