One of my favorites, sad day! A lot of great music came out of those hands! Plus as a kid he was like the epitome of a cool guitarist that was not a shredder.

I loved his playing. I was upset when I saw where he passed.

2003 Killing Joke or Death and resurrection? show has so many killer riffs. I love that album..
sad to hear it
Was great how they still released good new music. Never resting on rolling out just 80’s music on nostalgia tours. They were the Iron Maiden of alternative music. ?

Geordie never stopped innovating. As far as I'm concerned he and Johnny Marr (along with a handful of others) are responsible for everything great in modern alternative rock guitar.

I already put this in a NGD post about this guitar but it probably fits better here. As soon as I turned the chorus on it made me think of him so cobbled together this jam in his style and hit record. Quick and clammy but I don’t care about spending time on being perfect for YT..lol

That Killing Joke documentary on YouTube is crazy! Never knew that Jay was that much of a weirdo! Some great Geordie footage in there. Also made me realize how ferocious they could be live in their prime. Heavy stuff and so original.

ABSOLUTELY

Still sounding raw and intense in 2022. Amazing how Jaz still has such power in his voice still. Geordie looks like he barely bothers to drape his hands across the strings but these riffs and chords just pour out…lol
