RIP Steve Cropper

True hide in the shadows guy until he does the fills.
What a life. CBS morning show just showed his life through the years.
Lot of tunes I never knew he was playing on.

I walked into a music store 30+ years ago and laid down "Soul Man" riff,
Everyone stared at me and the owner said." no way you nailed that. Play it again"

RIP man and thanks for your musical contribution!

As time goes on, I've found ways of dealing with people close to me passing. Main way to feel at ease is if I know they lived a good life and left nothing or very little on the table, and that they have a lasting legacy. I didn't know Steve, but it looks like he lived a good, productive life, and 84 isn't a bad run. We can't really expect much more on this old rock.

RIP Steve. I never realized just how much of a contribution he had made to music.

84 years on earth and a life of guitar, sounds like a good time to me.
