I am needing to find an attenuator for some "neighborly" issues I've had arise with my volume preference on my VH4 (even though I live rural Wyoming, go figure). I have my eye on the Rivera RockCrusher attenuator--but I'm a bit unsure whether or not the VH4 will be usable with it. Considering the output level of the Diezel is listed at 160watts while the acceptable load for the Rockcrusher is 120watts rms is the writing kinda on the wall that these two won't work together? Or possibly am I comparing incorrect wattage types/ratings?

Could be wrong, thought I read somewhere on here (was prob in the diezel sub forum) that Mr. Diezel said not to run the VH4 with an attenuator. not sure if this was because of the master volume or if there was another more technical reason. I would double check though either way just to make sure.

I just don't think an attenuator would work with the Diezel. Having owned several, I don't think it would do much for it. Just use the master to find a suitable level. Or, do like me.....kill your neighbors.

Just attenuate the neighbors' complains by cranking further your V.

Yea, I had the RockCrusher VH-4 combo to try out and the amp sounded better without it.

Vh4 is only 100watts
..but sound like 200 W :D

No probs here with 100 W Einstein and Koch loadbox attenuator (shhh... don't tell papa). But you really don't need it cause master volumes on Diezels work so well.
