Roadcase or Tuki?

So I finally am super happy with my gear and I am one of those folks who doesn't mind a "mojo'd guitar but certainly like my amps in nice conditions. I am going back and forth on roadcases v. Tuki covers. I know the weigh on roadcases for my 2x12's is going to be a nightmare so I am definitely doing covers for those. As far as the head is concerned, what are you all using to keep your stuff in good condition?

I have a roadcase that fit my old JSX/XXX - I may try to re-foam that. It's a little snug on the sides so the foam would have to be quite thing on those spots.

If I re-foam my current head case, what do I use to get the existing foam off?

I think it depends on whether you'll be hauling/handling your gear yourself and how it's going to be transported. I've had the same Tuki covers for my Bogner head and cab since the latter half of the 90s and they've served me well. I'm the only one that touches my rig and I transport it in an enclosed SUV. If your situation is similar, I wouldn't waste the money or your back on a heavy road case.

Yeah most of my shows are local/regional and I drive myself. I keep the gear in the back of my pickup. It's not enclosed. I take the wheels of the cabs so the don't roll around. I am thinking the Tuki's will be fine.

Look at Studio Slips as well, as nice or nicer than my Tuki's.

+1 Although I don't own any Tuki's I absolutely love my Studio Slip covers. I use the slip covers for my cabs and clam shell gig bags with extra padding for my heads. They work great and are tough as nails.

Studio Slips for the win. I just picked up two of them for two of my 2x12" cabs and they are awesome!

Tuki Cover for the budget-minded win. I have a couple and they're definitely sufficient for the weekend warrior.
