Looking at the roadking 2 or the new triple recto. Any users. Is the clean On the triple same as the roadking 2. Not interested on the first road king as the 2 has lone star clean. Any clips on the hi gain. I here it's tighter. Any diff on the two for hi gain? Can roadking do what recto does?

From what I've heard, both the Roadking and Roadster do what the Rectos do, and some say the Roadster is even a bit better. The Roadking pretty much does most all of their sounds.

Guess rk2 is upgraded from rk1 I owned a roadster very shortly but should have checked out rk2.

the new clean is damn sure worth having!

really nothing to add, other than a bit about how cool the Rectos and Stilettos sound together.

I owned a road king 1 and am getting the recto multi watt. i have a few vids on the road king channel 3 and played the multi extensively before ordering one... The multi is indeed way more tight on the bottom end. The multi is also voiced diff. The road king being a bit darker sounding. I would say the cleans on both are great, with all the options you have a reverb etc. The new recto is more aggressive sounding with more mids and bite, it will flat out make you sick to your stomach if your a chug fan, it just punches and punches, But the road king is clearly more versitile, especially when combining tubes, or just not having to swap tubes..I will have the recto reborn this coming week and will def. be posting vids, so you could compare gain and voicing of the high gain channels...I would say if you can try them both out first or at least watch recorded vids of the amps as a camera will color sound etc...for me I would say either is great, but you have to decide on the features, do you need tube mixing on the fly or do you want to change tubes? do you want bright or dark? etc.

I had the roadster but it seamed like my old triple rec just stomped it on high gain. I like tight no flub. I primarily use Diezel. But just miss n love Mesa. How's the clean on the new recto? The roadster was great. Diezel clean is awesome on Herbert sweet on Hagen. But the road king clean I remember in store was just so warm. And I love the gritty grind of Mesa hi gain. Just wondering were to go rk2 or new triple rec?

also what are you doing with it primarily recording or live?

Than either would be just fine. both go down to 50W and the king goes to 120W
the road king will do the "everything better" the recto will do the really pissed off thing better
