A lot of this going around lately too in the boutique musical gear world. I recently dealt with yet another manufacturer who takes part in these types of business practices. Very unethical. These guys are sociopaths (
http://www.mcafee.cc/Bin/sb.html). If you don't have the money to immediately refund a customer for any circumstance, you shouldn't call yourself a business IMO. Anyone else deal with people like this? You don't have to name names but look deep within yourself.
