I've had this pedal for a few years and its cool. The drawback was it was either off, or it sounded like the space shuttle taking off! lol. It only has an on/off switch. I had it modded the other day, and it screams now, but its controllable. I had a level knob added, a 9V adapter jack, and an on/off light added. Steve Mckinley did the work, and he's top notch! While I was over there, I played one of his modded tube screamers, and it sounded amazing! He's a great guy too, so I thought I'd mention his site with pedal mods. He put my Roccaforte on the page too at the bottom..;-) http://www.mindspring.com/~stevemckinle ... /id10.html
I own one of his Flexiquad Wahs too which is a great pedal, and he's done excellent work on my amps too. If your in Atlanta and need work or are want some pedals modded, check him out.

I've got one - agree with what you said. Great for NMV amps that you want to goose. But best when everything is bloody ear loud. I have one of the first ones too - with the 7025 NOS Amperex tube. Seems he does them with different tubes now. There's on on eBay now. The marketing around them is half-hearted - I think he has his pro clients and he's happy to serve them.
