When I got my Chupa a few weeks back I played it at rehearsal before getting the loop upgraded and didn't love it. Partly because I just didn't have it figured out yet and wasn't dialing it in right and partly because I couldn't put my gate and Para EQ in the loop.
Once I got the loop upgraded and dialed it in better the next rehearsal was much better, but I was using it with my Splawn 4x12 in a room that seems tough to work in (drummers new place...awesome nice space, but not for sound)
Enter last night and I decided to take it out to the gig. I was really impressed with this amp! Really pissed grind to it. Nice and full with great low end punch through my Bogner 4x12. Good note separation and the right balance of sag without getting loose. Really perfect for the hot rodded 80s tones that I need.
Easy and fun to play and I really enjoy the angry voicing it has. It hangs with the Helios for sure.
Makes me wonder what better iron would do in this thing. As it is, I'll be running this amp for a bit as it's a clear winner for me.
