I gotta say, I have heard some amazing opinions of those Ironheart amps.
I've actually been very curious about them and still find the demo's not setting the amp like I would even in a rock context. Usually they leave the EQ at noon and only move the volume up and down which drives me nuts for vintage circuits. Considering on these, pre metal panel Marshalls and a lot of Fenders, if you want to rock or play tight aggressive blues with a Gibson you kill the bass and raise everything else. Can't stand their lying, I love what I'm hearing expressions, when they play the most washed out and flubby tones because they don't turn the bass down or raise the top end.
Agreed and true that on killing the bass with a Gibson. I dime the treble on the Twin and mids and bass are all the way down. Most of the LA30 demos sound like Tony Iommi but with a blanket over the speakers which seems on par with the average bedroom tone that usually has too much bass for live work. It seems like the amp has a lot more potential than what is being displayed and used prices are very fair IMO so maybe some day....
The Aurora DSP plugin Ironheart is killer so i'm really debating it.
I had a XXX many moons ago when they first came out. Killer amp!

I played an OG triamp back in the day and LOVED it. However, heavy as HELL. If the triamp is half as good, that's still an amazing amp. Also had a mark iv I sold and absolutely regret it. Dont sleep on a used mesa mark!!
