I recently upgraded the pickups in my Squier M-80 with Rockfield SWC pickups and I must say these pickups kick major ass. The good thing about them is they are only $49.99 each and they sound just as good if not better than the major brand pickups out there today. They are well balanced with highs and lows, provide excellent pinch harmonics, great palm mutes, these things just kick major ass.

Here is a clip of me playing some rhythm with the bridge pickup and a little lead with the middle and bridge together. I know the lead isn't all that great, oh well, just slapped it together real fast.

Thnaks man, just wanted people to know about the pickups though. They are not a well known company, but make killer pickups at a great price. Right now Michael Kelly and BC Rich are both using his pickups in lots of their guitars.

they are putting those in the midlevel bc riches now I think

Yes they are and they sound great. Lots of guitar companies are using those god awful Duncan Designed pickups with their mid level guitars. If they were smart they would all switch to the Rockfields. I had Duncan Designed HB102's in this M-80 and they sounded like shite. The Rockfield SWC's brought this guitar to life and made it a friggin monster.

I hear good things about the fat ass humbucker

any opinion?

yeah man, I got another thread going about the fat ass - my favorite pickup I've ever tried. High notes are fat, low notes are tight - I don't know how he did it!

Yeah I here a lot of bands use them, even though they're not that well known.

Seems quite interesting
