touch screen, support for NAM, more memory, storage and processing; more advanced modeling,...

Glad I sold my FM9 Mark II Turbo; still have my Helix Floor but prices have tanked.

source?
I mean I kinda feel like its due but curious where its coming from

probably been in development a while. I’d be surprised if it comes out anytime soon. Will be interesting to see what it does though

All Cliff has really said about it is that it’s significantly more powerful than the current gen, and that it will be compatible with NAM profiles, and he went into detail about what kind of processors can and can’t handle the kinds of workloads (Fractal’s modeling and NAM profiles) the new gen will need to handle. Oh and that there’s still a ton of programming to do, so there will be no official releases for a good while.

No info on if it’s going to have touchscreens or not as far as I know though.

I love my FM9T. It does everything I need and more. It sounds and feels killer. I love the form factor especially....

My gig rigs are usually like this:

And either a QSC CP12 or CP8

I havnt seen anything but disdain for touchscreen suggestions on the forums there.. which I pretty much agree with.

Regarding the Helix, I dumped mine about 3-4 months ago and ended up trading it for 450 and a Mexican P Bass. If i didnt also have an FM3 I would have held onto it, its great for running a second player through if needed.

Hopefully THIS one sounds like a real amp..

Unlike all the others that sounded like a real amp when released apparently.

Reminds me, I need a new iPhone

NAM support will be nice. Waiting to see how well the new Helix does with its capture/profiling.

I just wonder if this will help NAM become more mainstream and take over ToneX.
More and more devices are starting to support it.

The Darkglass Anagram uses it as it's main modeling function, though technically this is a bass focused product (you can still use it for guitar though).

I’m dumb as a rock with modeling units. I thought nam was neural quad cortex’s own brand thing?? Fractal is adopting that? Or adding it to their own style of modeling? Don’t beat me up here, I am just trying to understand. Educate my dumn self please lol.
I’d like a modeler to mess around with sometime but I may be too tech challenged to ever figure it out lol

Not knowing stuff is fine, it's pretending you do when you don't that's obnoxious. :)

Fractal hasn't really said much though. We don't know if it's going to specifically be official Neural Amp Modeling tech or some other proprietary tech Fractal is coming up with on their own.

Either way I think the implication is that the next gen Fractal stuff will have both traditional white box modeling where the actual schematic is known and emulated at the component and signal path level in conjunction with measurements of the real deal examples, as well as black box amp profiling where you just put an amp through some kind of analyzer that sends signals into it and measures what comes out, and builds some kind of amp profile based on that.
