The big shot ABY?

I've used the Morley ABC switch, had to do a ground lift on that because of hum, but I also have used the EH electric mistress. With the pedal off you can run to the front of two amps no problem. Hit the switch and you have chorus/flange in stereo.

-or good stereo chorus, you won't have to worry about ground loop issues

-there was a similar thread recently that had some good ideas on the stereo/splitter being used.

only one I've used is a Whirlwind switcher ages ago, worked well.
Radial makes outstanding gear in general, cant go wrong with the Big Shot.

Yeah, as long as one output is transformer isolated and/or has a ground lift you should be fine on the hum issue, but you also need to be able to flip the polarity. Otherwise there´s a good chance half your tone disappears when you engage the second amp. I´ve mostly used Lehle products.

Lehle makes top quality pedals.
They're pricey though.

If you just want to go straight in the front of 2 amps, then the Big Shot works great.

You can also use a RJM Y not. I have one I could sell you.

The Big Shot has an iso, and ground lift switch...I'm assuming they work in the event of a ground loop type hum. It also has a polarity switch.

I'm (sort-a) setting up a poor mans W/D. I've got two 50w heads, EVH 5153 and a 50w Plexi clone (in the spirit of Jose and Mod5 circuitry). i was going to run my "looped" pedals, reverb, delay, etc through the 5153 loop (the wet), and keep the plexi dry. The loop on the 5153 sounds better to me.

I have each head running to two different 212 cabs. i was going to leave that alone.

@Krueger...man i'm so broke atm..after the Christmas rush  . I've got a couple small gift cards left over to guitar center i was going to burn those.

The big shot is a good starter and I keep one around in case I need it as a backup. Ground lift is great but ISO switch is a tone sucker for output B as this is a passive pedal. I havent tried the Radial twin cities bones ABY but it is active and from the same company so I would expect it to be a bit better.

I have also used the voodoo lab amp switcher and Lehle dual SGOS pedals for multi amp splitting. Both work excellently, with a slight edge for the Lehle for my own perception of slightly better overall tone. Both of these are a step up from the Big shot in terms of performance and price...

All that said, I now use a Boss ES-8 to switch my pedals, change amp channel and send signal to two amps and it does this flawlessly...

So, i've read about the tone suck with the ISO switch....talk to me about the Chorus/Flagne (type) pedal option. Hilltop talked about it in his post (up top). is that a better option than a ABY?

I used the Radial Twin Cities but could never get rid of the ground loop, other than by removing the ground on one of the amps..

What two amps are you using? I got lucky this last time and finally got a stereo rig to work, but it's two jcm800's that have the same gain stages etc... so that I didn't have any polarity/phase issues. I run out of a boss stereo chorus(ce-5) into both marshalls, and just used a 3 prong to 2prong adapter for one of the heads to get rid of ground hum. Although this works for my rig I have found out that that's not really safe even though the other amp is grounded?; probably going to pick up an isolation box/hum reducer soon, but so far has been working like a champ.

I'm running a 5153 and a Plexi clone. Not Too interested in removing the grounding prong....if there's a guy that'll blow some shit up or get elecricuted, it'd be me !

I found another thread on RT about splitting 3 amps and was reading through it. The voodoo lab amp switcher....I believe I read in that thread someone was using that??

Especially in your case get a box with a ground loop and polarity switch option. Those two amps will more than likely have phase issues. Had that problem with my Laney, Mesa, Jvm,plexi, vht,.... the two marshalls love each other, and ground hum was my only obstacle.

Best on the market - bar none. Lehle S-go-S. Nutso engineering - last a lifetime

Fulltone ABY - has a phase switch on it too. I have it, haven't used it. A friend of mine says its killer as he has used it. I will as soon as my Marshall gets out of the Shop.

i used a boss ce-5, or a dd-3 on a t-verb halfstack and a 2203zw halfstack with no issues.

LEHLE P-Split was my Go To when I ran my Ultra Lead and 5153...
