This may be one of the first SM2s out in the wild....OR100 on one side (with clean and crunch); Cobra on the other side.
These are 2 amps I had and sadly flipped in the past few years, so I am excited to bring this in. I had a Mamba and Rockerverb in mts form before from Antonin, so I pretty familiar with what is about to be unleashed. Midi capable with 4cm to add channels to my amp.

Ok,that is pretty Fucking cool right there!

Yeah man I would REALLY like to check this out with the Torpedo Studio's power amp modeling and cabs for direct recording.

I have the TNL Live, so that is definitely an application I am going to try out!
Also into DMoll and 51505 50w heads
MIDI madness!

So essentially it is just their MTS preamps loaded in a chassis.. Myasnikov does that too at a more affordable price point and cooler faceplates in case anyone is looking at preamp alternatives! What's the price on a dual SM-2 from Salvation?

Dude....you are clearly excited about Myasnikov (who I never heard of until this post). But how can you throw out a promotional shout out about how it is much cheaper than also ask about how much I paid?! Kind of disrespectful to everyone involved, but to answer your questions, contact Salvation for price quotes, I'm sure it changes depending on the features you require...to give you a ballpark, the price is about the price of 2 modded modules + a little extra on top- which makes sense as it is a hardwired in a clever 4cm midi rack that integrates with your current amp to add channels.

A quick look at info on Myasnikov's site shows me that his pricing stricture would likely be the same or more than the SM2...there's no options listed for 4cm integration with current amp channels, dual preamps, assortment of toggles nor Orange nor Framus circuits. Myasnikov products look interesting as a preamp clone rack, but not really a fair comparison as they present vastly different products and features.

I looked at Synergy, which is a closer comparison. I specifically wanted OR and Cobra preamps which is currently not offered there. I think it is unfortunate they didn't bring Antonin into that synergy operation, he is a genius with this stuff..but not sure if he was even interested? Regardless, I have a lot of experience with Salvation Audio, so for me this worked out perfectly on paper. I knew exactly which preamp circuits I loved from his catalog. Shipping now and then I'll give you all a proper review.

Sorry cranky, I just read my post again and I see how it came across the second time I wrote it. I think I wrote it too fast and hit enter because it def. comes off as prickish. The only really difference would be the cool faceplates. I think where I was going is why bother with a stand alone as it is one hell of a niche for their flavours or takes on the originals. I see now however, that the integrated features you mentioned and it does look like it beat the SYN to market concept wise. As for sound, I would imagine that they might be less noisy than the MTS stuff because he has more real estate to work with.

In any event, Myasnikov does make some cool stuff and is a solid option for anyone interested in preamps as well but that isn't the point here, and I totally did a gearpage dickwad move. My bad everyone!

What are you going to use as your power amp BTW ?

Way fucking cool Ray! \m/

Thinking what two modules I'd like built into one myself!

Hey Kapo, it's all good. The other link was a cool new place for to GAS over

There's a few ways I'm hoping to use this SM2
*direct into TNL
*for power I would love to use my DMoll- that will definitely get used for studio stuff as I know that will slay
*Live I usually bring my 5150 50w head....or maybe even the <gasp> Katana?! That might be a cool quick rig with all of the fx available on the KAT. Not sure how that will sound with the SS power amp

Or at our rehearsal spot there's a few modest combos I could try into the fx return

Oh that is fun!
My favs when I had mts where Salvo's Starz (Rockerverb and Gold Mamba (Cobra).
I left mts and at one point had the OR100 and Framus Cobra heads- loved them then flipped them.
So for me this choice was pretty clear. There are a ton of options to make your head spin!

Hey Matt,

an idea for Antonin.. how about a variable power amp? Switchable power amp config for Fender/Vox/Marshall/Mesa layout. 4 diff circuit boards that would be fed by a transformer. You switch them in line depending on what preamp you have selected. The usual versatility with accepting EL34,6550,6V6,6L6. Would be nice to have EL84 option but that could always be approximated with yellow jackets. I am just thinking outside the box here... shouldn't be too hard to switch 3 or 4 diff power amp layouts on a PCB board to the diodes and filter caps. Anyway, a crazy idea and probably a reason why nobody does it. I have thought of doing it myself but I have only built a couple of amps and am not really qualified to understand the logistics of it.

Yeah man this would be sick. Or even one that does a good digital representation of the different eq effect the tubes would have if that makes sense.

It's here and first impression: spectacular!

I'll do full review soon...

Is it possible to order it without midi/4cm for cheaper?

IDK, hit Antonin up at Salvation Audio or if you are USA Matt Fig who is here on the site and is a dealer of all things salvation. Matt's a super awesome musician and a real cool cat to deal with:
http://www.motorcitymods.com

I knew the tonez would be great, but I was a bit worried about added hiss/buzz with the wiring 4cm. But It's dead quiet in the DMoll loop. The OR and Cobra clones are so dead on it's scary + extra toggles to really sculpt. I'm having a blast over here, amp friends!

I'm going to try to try it direct into TNL with simulated power amps as well as 4cm into 5150 50w & Katana
This could be an awesome quick rig or extend it out with multi-channel amp for oodles of choices. Either way, the sound is there, so it's just musical rainbows from here

Not at this very moment, but it may not be far off....Have you considered an RM4 and modules??
