Phil X is a session player who has gained popularity due to his entertaining and hilarious guitar video reviews for Fretted Americana on YouTube.

Good for Phil X! Phil f*cking rocks, has a great personality, great playing, and has such a positive vibe and energy.

I'm going to get flamed for this, but for the most part, I could give two sh*ts about Bon Jovi Incorporated at this point - they seem tired, look bored, and sound like their phoning it in. I hope Phil can add some energy and excitement to the show.

I agree. I've gotten dragged to two Bon Jovi shows, and they're okay I guess, but not worth the money. Furthermore, Jon's comments are usually borderline retarded, and I'm sick of him using his "star power" to further his political agenda.

Agreed.

I mean, on one hand, I kinda feel bad in a way. The songs off of Slippery When Wet, New Jersey, etc are great classics. But the fact of the matter is that Jon just can't sing them anymore. It's definitely a rough situation. I mean, no one expects 45 year old athletes to perform like they did when they were 23, but yet we demand it from musicians.

But on the other hand, I'd rather see a band retire on a high note, than just kinda keep trucking along, looking kinda bored, and tuning down another half step every year. Before you know it, it's like what we have here: Living on a Prayer, tuned down to Z, with Jon relying on the audience to sing practically every note of every chorus.

I've watched some of those fretted america vids and the guy is an encyclopedia of classic rock riffs; killer player. And he's funny as hell

Well if people are still paying to see you perform at 45...regardless of tuning...and your still enjoying it...why not. Trust me...once you turn 45 you realize that you should be able to do whatever you want if you've earned it. I'm not a JBJ fan but I got no problems with him or any band rocking till they can't walk. And if people still wanna pay out the ying yang to see Kiss, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi...whoever...more power to all. No rules in rock and roll.

Denise Richards? Heather Locklear?

Forget Heather. When Denise was on Howard Stern she admits that she swallows so she doesn't insult her man. And she enjoys anal.
