San Dimas vs. So Cal

I think I'm going to break down and pick up a production Charvel. I've been eyeing them for awhile now.

I don't like the JB or the Tone Zone and will probably yank them regardless of which one I choose. However, is there a consensus on which sounds better on the slight chance that I may end up liking it. I have a WCR Ironman sitting here that is probably going to end up in it though :D

I have both and they both sound different. It has to do with the pickguard and extra routing of the body IMO. They both sound very good and I would take either. My pickguard one is definitely lighter and has a more fat "hollow" tone. JB in the pickguard one, Duncan Custom Custom in the solid one.

I thought you needed to wear Spandex with the San Dimas and Hairspray and lipstick with the So Cal? :confused:

If you buy the one with the JB and yank it, let me know. I need to dump the TZ in my So Cal.
