In the numerous times I've been to Jamaica my general experience is that they refer to themselves simply as "Jamaicans." If they want to refer to themselves as Afro-Jamaican or African American, that's their prerogative and either self-descriptive term is correct. If Harris wants to refer to herself as an African American, that's her prerogative. THAT's my point to WGAF.
