he is awesome indeed...think I read he went to GIT....but he's played in Fight, and War and Peace (jeff pilson's post dokken band)....not sure what all else....he definitely has the 80's stuff down...love it

Yeah, he's a great player. But I've seen Steel Panther 7 or 8 times and his solo has been the same every time - which is fine I guess, but the 'novelty' stuff needs to be cycled through, rather than just the same schtick every time..

Nice! Like the the tone too....and the shocker never gets old :-D

The guy held his own in Electric Fence with Paul Gilbert.....yeah, he's alright......

No offense to the OP, but this isn't "new news"....

He's got great chops, but honestly, he's playing a Lynch style guitar while copping EVH and Yngwie licks...Meh. Would rather just listen to the originals, or someone with their own feel or style, but that's just me :dunno:

I don't really hear hear too much EVH or Yngwie note for note in his playing.. just sounds like a kickass 80's guitar slinger with some tasty phrasing and vibrato.. but as has already been said, this is hardly news.

I thought the only people who thought that were people who just disregarded him based on looks and the lyrics of his current band not knowing his past projects or listened to him play in said current project...

He's definitely awesome, either doing EVH stuff, or a combo of everything 80's! Makes it look easy, which is why he's a pro.

Note how much better his JVM tone is compared to his modern EVH amp tone??

Hes an older one when he still played Ibanez.

:49 - 2:05 is Epic

Was pg's Roommate at git and was also an instructor.

Yep, that's back when he used to play straight into a Marshall DSL too.
