Have any of you guys tried Savage amps before? Unfortunately they're made in Minnesota and I don't know of any stores that has them, so I've never gotten to try one, but I've read good things on other forums. I wonder how they'd compare to other boutique makers like Divided by 13, Top Hat, Two Rock, or Victoria?

Chris Cornell is using them live with Soundgarden and had been sounding amazing

Great guys at Savage.

I used to live pretty close to them and had them install pickups on a couple axes, and fix one of my amps. Really great customer service in my experience. Always heard them turning up amps, but I was more into black metal at the time, so their line wasn't for me....more rock boutique.

I live 20 minutes from Savage amps and use them for all my Amp repairs and have played the Glas 30 The Blitz and Macht 12 I have not owned any however. The Blitz is their take on a 4 hole Marshall JTM 45 style amp. Great platform for pedals if you need Heavy metal tone. If playing rock and blues perfect. If you have been to a Clapton live show and Doyle Bramhill was the 2nd guitarist you heard a Blitz 50. The GLas 30 is also a 4 input amp that can be dialed in for Vox Like or Marshall like tones The cleans are exquisite as are early break up tones. It is on my must have if I ever have the funds. A good friend own a Macht 12 which is a non master volume has it own thing going on. He play blues and rock and uses only wah and sd-1 and delay to cover everything but really hard rock metal. All the Savages I played can be controlled by the guitars volume knob and clean up great. They also seem very loud for there wattages but have great master volumes and a studio stage setting to cut out a power tube. Lots of online reviews all favorable. Pearl Jam, Beck, Sheryl Crow, R. E. M . If your looking for a quality country rock blues amps they would do nicely

Anyone else? I'm interested I think in the Krieg, Schatten, and Glas. I wonder how the Glas would compare to other Vox type amps like the Divided By 13 RSA 31, Top Hat, or Sommatone. So far the Divided By 13 RSA 31 was by far the best Vox type amp I've tried. Sounded super huge and ballsy

I thought Bob Savage made an amp. I will keep on strolling down the road now...
