I bumped into Rayneman, my guitar tech (Wild Dutch), and a GC guy who is a killer player in a local metal band.
Opening was Sister Sin. All of their tunes sounded similar and the guitar player was using some type of Randall SS half stack. Decent tone. The singer was hot! Most people from the front to the soundboard were treated to some nice crotch shots. Other than that, nothing memorable about their set.
Lynch had 7 heads turned on. Looked like 4 had leads coming out of them. Randall Lynch Box, his green Herbert, a Marsha, and a Sullivan. He had two Sullivans actually. Both in what looked like custom wood cabinets. He also had a Naylor and some other Marshall looking head sitting on top of the Marsha. Not sure what it was but looked like some other Dave F version of a Marshall. Lynch Box cab, Orange cab, and two old beat up Marshall cabs faced backwards. No mics on the Randall or Orange cabs.
His main tone was pretty sweet. Lead tone was a little lacking but that could have been the sound guy. He was working real hard but it was not the best performance I have seen from him. Not bad. Just not the best.
MS came out and had a great Marshall tone pumping out through what looked like a DSL stack. He had two. One was white (no leads going in) and another. His lead and main tone was really good. My first time seeing MS. I was impressed.
Overall, good show with a decent turn out. Primus was in town tonight also so that probably hurt ticket sales.
