those things look great. they also look pricey haha

Maybe I was expecting more... Something a little more flamboyant perhaps... But I will try them on if they come to my local music store.

I like the looks of them, do they come in the locking variety ? I can't see installing a set that isn't locking at this point in time.

They look great, and I've always liked their tuners.

Notice they do however stick out a bit in the E position on the LP. I can see (esthetically) that these won't work on all guitars.

Wonder how much a set will be.

Those look awesome, but quite large as well. How much did they run you?

If only all my guitars didn't have kickass tuners already.....

Here is the public price:

Do they tune themselves and give me a reach around for that price?

I just fitted them on my new proto guitar and strung it up for the first time and tested the tuners...

I am serioussly impressed by the tuning precision!

Not to be a party pooper, but my only concern would be that little plastic window somewhere down the road having a slight compromise to its seal, then getting all manner of crap and lint and dust into it. Would make it go from a nice picture window to a dirty thing that looked as though it needed oil and a cleaning.

Just saying, highly unneccesary perhaps?? But purdy... :D

you know Schaller probably spend many tousands of $ testing stuff before they actually sell them?

This wont happen mate, not all tuners are sealed, in fact when you think "oil lubricated", many people think that the gear is actually covered with oil, that's a stereotype, if you open one up you will see...

Also, I use Hipshot on all my guitars which are open gears and dont forget the millions of classical guitars or vintage guitars which have open tuners and have either lasted decades or hundereds of years without any problem...

It is sealed, no way that any dust can go inside there...

PS: 115$ (30-40$ more than any other tuning machines?) what an incredible investment that is!

I don't have any guitars those would look appropriate on. They do look kind of neat, though.
