Amp ho
These replacement strap buttons keep gradually coming unscrewed from the body of my LP - what is the solution here? Pic shows it completely screwed in but after a day of playing they will slowly come out. What’s the solve?

I think the older style Schaller locks use a screw about the same size as the original, where as the new style uses a bigger screw, so it sorta makes a new surface to bite into. It's probably just a worn out hole. Do like the guy above says. I always used toothpicks with a lil wood glue, clipped them flush, and screwed it back in.

Saw dust and glue mix, personally. Always worried the toothpick trick would crack the guitar/finish, but seems to be working for everyone fine given the responses. I always try to reuse the factory screws whenever possible and hand tighten first to find the old thread groove instead of creating a new one when swapping out buttons though.
