I know these are few, and far between. I just found one locally for $ with a flame maple top, in great shape. Is that a fair price for one??

I think that the bolt on maple neck must add something to the PRS sound. I have owned 3 PRSs with set Mahogany necks, and found that they play great, but lack a bit of snap to them like my bolt on Ibanez RGA121 has. I am really thinking about picking this up. Talk me into it, or out of it...I am thinking about funding this with my Mako Mak4!!!

I like the ce's myself. They def have more snap, or treble than a set neck PRS IMHO.

Here is a pic of the one I am looking at...Looks like it is in great shape!!!!

Nice looking guit and I think the price is fair. I like the CE's. I've actually bonded with the CE's better than the CU's, more times than not. The necks are nice.

I'll second that. My #1 and #2 axes are both CE's w/ maple tops. I'd say that's a good price.

do it
I still prefer mahogany set necks, but the CE sounds and plays great anyway
just needs better pickups, though

I agree about the pups. I had some dragon 2s a while ago, and they are a bit too vintage for me. I do have a covered MCP AFWAYU that is in need of a home. That could make this guitar scream!!!!

Fair price, great guitars! I prefer the CE's with the bolt ons WAY more than the Customs.....
