Scumbags?
  I did not even realize that in the title until I read your post!

However, why would you want to change the P50s out? The Fryette cabs are absolute magic with the P50s. Maybe I am just biased though, because I love the P50s and Fryette cabs. I mean, my longest piece of gear I have owned is actually my 2x12 Fat Bottom pre-Fryette, and it will never be sold.

ohh damn sorry lol my bad my mistakes lol

I got no idea but is hard to explain but the fact that there issue on the speakers itself and taking the chance to try other speakers out... I remembered I had an orange cab pcc212.. and it sounded nice but rather harsh and not as dark and tight on the bass compared to p50e ... I think p50es been too soft on the treble.. I need something to brighten up the treble abit thoese clear sweet treble?

I swapped out 2 p50es in my FB cab for 2 Celestion GK-85s. Really balances the p50es out nicely and gives girth.

Don't give up on P50e's until you're certain they're well broken in...

Just sayin',

I like the gain structure of the amp.. but till now my cl sounded not as sweet and it sounds brittle ehh dont know if its right word to describe..means I cannot getta sweet
treble or mids tone ... but I recalled I ran thru a pcc212 stock think it was a v30 equipped and I sort of like it but yes at some point not as tight and not as soothing as p50es , v30 just too harsh at some point but it kinda gives sweet treble..

should I stay put awhile or jump into scumbacks?

P50e take a good 40 hours of hard playing or a good 20 hours with a variac to break in, loosen up, and start feeling great from one end of the spectrum to the other. They're solid speakers.

IMO P50 are not that great at all.

I have never tried scumback but I tried several others ALL sounded better than P50 and mine are very well broken in.

I threw the P50's in another cab and use them for a full stack and it sounds nice.

But for a 1/2 stack i will never use the P50 cab unless I have to.

I went with 30x75 celestion and WGS, sounds great..The amp will still give you the dark thunder but it really comes to life when you get rid of those P50's.

The end :)

I have found Celestions and WGS mix works better with my Pittbull as well. I have Eminence V12's (close P50 equivilent) that are really nice sounding, but the Cel/WGS mix brings more....life and sparkle to the tone.
I can make the V12's work for me if necessary, but they are somewhat flat and directional sounding with the Pittbull. I get more spread and cut with the Cel/WGS speakers.
The speakers I use are a Mesa Trad 4x12 w/ Mesa V30's and a Randall oversized 2x12 with WGS Retro 30's.

Are the V12 are the stock in ENGL cabs???
No you are thinking of the oddball 60 watt Celestion V12 found in the MDF/Plywood mixed entry level ENGL 4x12's.
I am refering to the 120 watt Eminence Legend V12.

so what has the emenience v128 gotta offer in the tone they bring out comparing with the p50es?
I might wanna take this chance to do a small subtle change since many agrees the p50es the good ome with pittbull..
