Anyone play through the Scumback Tall Bottom 4x12? Wanting to get a Marshall-ish 4x12 with a Greenback-type speaker. Played an EVH 4x12 that I thought was killer. Kinda keeping an eye out for a vintage early '70s cab, too. But the Tall Bottom cab looks interesting. It has a slightly larger internal volume than a Rectifier Traditional cabinet (way taller but a bit narrower and shallower than the Rectifier Traditional).

Thanks Jim. This would be used primarily with a SLO. Would you recommend the tall cab over the standard straight? How would they be different, other than the tall cab being heavier and harder to fit in my car...

You are welcome!

You'll get a little more depth, and a tiny bit more bass out of the tall cab. Past that, it's mostly speaker dependent on any other benefits you'll get with your individual rig.

Best to email me or go to my site and go through the recommendations page for a better answer. I know you are all different in how you hear things so I try to personalize my recommendations to your tone needs.

I have been known to tangle with the 68 tall cab from time to time :D
