No one seems to be selling them yet. I've seem them on eBay which leads me to believe they may be fakes.

^ You'd be incorrect... I know Banjomikez on ebay is one of the the largest Duncan dealers in the US and has them in stock.

Curt has his on ebay also with his store Squidmusic

I'd be interested in hearing what Curt has to say about these..

They just released a clip..if it is anything like the Jason Becker description where he says he liked a JB and they went from there, then i'd say it sounds an awful lot like a Dimarzio At-1 ;)

It does sound like it might be a bit too glassy in the top end for me though..

ps - link not showing up in the thread

Tone sounds fantastic.
But then, the player is also fantastic.

Even with that pup I couldn't sound like that.
But then, maybe I can cop some mojo from it. :)

$95 ain't a bad price at all.

Yeah...that clip sounds fantastic...but I'm more interested in knowing how it sounds in a real world application...not a supernatural one

I find myself digging the low/mod output pups with high gain amps these days...this one definitely has my interest.

Kapo -- out of all the pups I tried in my alder Charvels, the AT-1 was by far my favorite...have you tried it in anything else?

Nope, only alder so far but to be honest, I think it would give me what I like about the 36 anniversary (tight low end) but without the thin highs in an LP type guitar. I have 36 anniversaries in my LP type right now and I dig them but i think the AT-1 would give you beefy tight lows and thicker highs. Right now it is my number one. Like everything about it. Almost like it has everything i liked about the Air Zone with the things I liked about the 36 anniversary rolled into one. I remember the JB being looser on the low end and a bit hotter but overall, the AT-1 is a nice compromise. I'll have to hear this pup riffing and chording a little more but right now, sounds like the highs might be a little thin for my liking.

Am i mistaken to think that there was quite a significant JB revival lately? Hotlicks vid reissue, Paradise Guitars, i read something about sig amps and now pickups. I just think it's all good as long as the good man receives some of those sales.
But it smells fishy.

Be it as it is, my skills will never be good enough to be able to polish JB's shoes. A legend

I thought it sounded fantab. Maybe enough to swing me away from my <3 affair with the Air Norton/Tone Zone combo.

I seriously agree with the "where the hell is the rhythm" comments. This is one of the things that most demos leave out. How the hell does it sound when you're doing gained out chord work...

wish there was some rhythm playing in that video

Same here! Cleans were great and leads were great... but how's this thing gonna sound playing a SONG???

Still trying to decide what I think of the Morse sig DiMarzio pups in my new Morese Y2D and keeping my eyes out for possible replacements. Never been a DiMarzio guy (have tried a LOT of 'em)... have ALWAYS preferred clean, clear Duncan tone (especially the JB/59 combo). Have had a TON of guitars with those pups in 'em.

Are we talking about "Jazz Blues"? A legend indeed... ;)
