I an trying to decide between two pickups for a 2011 Gibson SG Standard. I am playing a Classic Rock through a Boogie Mark V.

Seymour Duncan Seth Lover or Antiquity

Which one would you pick?

Both pickups are not wax potted to retain the characteristics of '50s pickups.

I have some interest in the Seth Lover ones but not sure how much gain/distortion they can handle without being noisy or feeding back.

And that's why I'd chose another option.

Antiquity !
Real 50's PAF pickups are not wax potted and that's is part of the magic for those classic tones.
I use unpotted pickups all the time with my Soldano amps and have no issues unless I stick the damn guitar right next to the speakers.

I have an antiquity neck and seth lover bridge in my lp. Great combo. Both pups are great. Billy g is using an antiquity in his sg

Is Billy using them both in the neck and bridge of his SG?
