Hay All,

Saw Bob Seger last night at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan. It was incredible, he still has his voice and the Silver bullet band is as good if not better than they've ever been. He played a lot off of Night Moves and mirad of his other hits and some that haven't been heard previously on his tours.

The guitar play was excellent, he had a Soldono SLO, I think a 5150 and another amp I could not identify. Killer playing and Killer tones

Oh, and the opening act was a guy named Franky Ballard. The guy can play and sign his ass off, also worth a listen

If he's playing near you it is deffinitely worth seeing

Cool to hear he still has it. I was never a huge fan of his as I was into the heavier stuff but I grew up in Michigan (Taylor) and heard lot of Bob Seger on the radio. I like the live album from way back. As a kid not even playing guitar at the time when Night Moves was released I thought it sounded too polished as I was so used to the rawness of the Live album :) I remember he'd always sell out a weeks worth of shows at Cobo and a few more at Pine Knob whenever he toured. There were always rumors that it was his last becaus ehe had throat cancer LOL just because of his voice

Yeah, they said last night was the 38th sell out show in Michigan over his touring history

the lead guitar in this song just gives me goose bumps, such an emotional guitar sound and feel, incredible, my favorite BS song

Right on! I'd love to go when he come through Portland, he said this will be his last real tour.

I was at that show last night, too. Bob sounded MUCH better than he did in Saginaw in March, and lost about 35#'s....and you could just tell he had way more energy, vocally & performance wise, last night.

I was especially grateful to hear "LONG TWIN SILVER LINE"...a powerhouse vocal performance from Against The Wind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiXb5mQ9Gp8

Even more surprised to see he brought his son & daughter on stage for tune #2....thought I'd been 'overserved' when i spotted 4 chick backup singers instead of the usual 3.....

Side note on the amps Mark Chatfield was using: he had some GUYTRONS with what appeared to be 2 2x12 cabs....

You may be right on the amps, I couldn't see very well from my vantage point

Mark Chatfield who plays guitar for Bob owns Cowtown Guitars in Las Vegas and is a good guy. I have known him from way back in the vintage guitar show days. That boy can drink some Saki at the Benihana.

Yepp...he sure does...met him in LV after the last Seger tour in 07'.

I like the fact that he plays the solos like they were recorded....his work on TRAVELIN MAN'/BEAUTIFUL LOSER is outstanding.

Always like Bob Seger and i miss that style of rock. Why do most new singers from the USA sound like whiney 15 year olds compared to that ballsy grit that Seger has?

Great guy! Did many a deal with Mark when he was in Cinci, on the vintage guitar show...my 58 mint strat was finally pulled from me by Mark! Great player also!

Frankie, another one hailing from Michigan. (realizing he lives too far from the shit to catch a good show)
