I loved that amp, and sold it and kept the EVH 50. Well, I just ordered another one!! Cant wait to hear it through the EVH cabinet that I got after I sold it.

That RD45 is badass, and I'm confident getting another was a wise choice!
Believe the hype, it WILL hang with amps 2-3 times the price of the Diavlo.

So, is your recent pursuit of a modded Jet City now over?

Just got mine this week and love it . Goes nicely with my SuperComp

Is that a splawn comp that you are comparing it to? How does it fair?

Yes sir !
The 45 is awesome and can absolutely hang with it . At tv volumes I can get them to sound very close to each other. At real loud volume the splawn has more of an open bounce in the low end and the high end has a touch more sweet harmonic content..Thats the best way to describe it I think..hahaha
I could definitely use the 45 as my main amp , and will on/off.

Would you say the 45 is not as defined in the highs then? Seems to me it is a looser sounding amp with more give and less stiff.

It's defined in the high end for sure..The splawn is a brighter amp so maybe thats what I'm hearing..The difference is a very small amount though .

Its alittle more forgiving than the splawn but again, small amount . You can eq it to be a tight metal monster if you want . Love the amp and can't wait to gig it !

I must be doing something wrong. I was thinking of sending mine back to MF.

Is this a thrash/metal amp or can it do some nice 80s metal classic rock as well???

This continues to be asked and continues to be answered :D The answer is YES. We are waiting on killertone to get a vid out there of this amp through the paces. I think a lot of people are turned off or form impressions based on the silly name and graphics of the amp rather than it's features. As we were just talking about how one forum member feels it hangs with his splawn, I'm pretty sure that means it can do 70, 80'srock tones no problem.

Absolutely. I enjoyed playing old school thrash, Priest, King Diamond/Mercyful Fate more than anything with it. I really only do drop-d tuning for heavier stuff, and it shines with that as well.

What about diavlo cabs? they seems front loaded and ported cabs...
How do they sound Killertone? espacially the 2X12 please? :D

The Diavlo cabs sound excellent. They come with either V30s or a speaker that Randall developed with a speaker manufacturer. The 2x12 cab is really nice sounding. Thick and tight without being boxy like so many 2x12 cabs can be.

Thanks Killertone!

Which manufacturer are randall speakers? (celestion, eminence...)
Which existing speaker is closer? or are they more voiced like a V30 or greennback or G12H30....other?

How is the clean channel? What are the dimensions in inches and weight?

Hey, here is my play through of the RD100 that should answer a lot of these questions...
