I have seen some discussion about people removing the 'Seymour Duncan' from the top of their pickups. I am curious what people are using to remove the logo, how many have done it, and if it hurts resale if you decide to swap it?

I doubt anyone would remove the EMG or Dimarzio logo's either.

No and dont really care, who is going to notice at a gig

Never really noticed it, I have more important issues while playing

I guess I'd do it if I was infinitely happy with the pickup and was never going to change it out. But never thought about it, kills resale value :aww:

Yeah... like whether or not the guitar you're playing is relic'd.. or if there's a Gibson/Fender logo on the headstock. Bet you'd take a belt sander or hacksaw to that headstock in jiffy if that were the case! LOL! :D

I don't see the point.

Yes, it would kill resale value.

If both pickups came as a pair, no.

If the guitar is vintage-themed, like my Les Paul Sunburst, then yes. remove.

If the neck pickup doesn't have a logo, and the bridge pickup does, then yes. remove.

As far as resale value, over on the Duncan Forum, no-one really cares THAT much about de-logo'd buckers... just so you know. I you ever have one that you took the logo off and it's not selling elsewhere, it'll go on the duncan furum.

The logo annoys me, but I've never removed one.
+1
Only reason it bugs me much is because I only use 1 Duncan in my guitars. I still don't know whether I'll bother with it though.

I typically don't remove it, but I have done it to a few of them. Brasso or a fine polishing compound work well.

I nearly always leave the logos on because I like the way it looks but I did take one off recently with toothpaste and a Shamwow.

Don't ask me why I had a Shamwow.

I kind of like the way it looks. It does not bother me being there... ;)

the tone is 10x better with the logo on

Seriously, I never removed one but if it makes ya happy, have at it.

Nope. Never done it and never really thought about it. :)
