Can a bent speaker frame be repaired?
So I got a great deal on a Celestion speaker off ebay.

Well, the seller throws it in a cheap carboard box with a few pieces of crumpled newspaper and sends it on it's way.

(I ALWAYS double box speakers and make sure they can't move around at ALL).

Anyway, as you can guess, it arrives, rattlin' inside around the box.

And of course, It's damaged. The outer rim is bent, the dust cover is pushed in, and it doesn't lay flat anymore. And it seems like there's damage to the outer edge of the cone, the part that moves...

Soooooooo pissed right now. I'm guessing there's really no way to repair this.

I want a full refund, plus reimbursement for return shipping. WHY can't people pack items properly?????????

RETURN!

You will never get that frame 100% flush to the baffle.

WHY can't people learn to pack things properly.

This dude just ruined a perfectly good speaker.

What a douche.

That speaker is toast. I hope you get a refund.

The dust cap is fixable (the masking tape method works really well), but with that bent basket its hosed.

I hope that is not a vintage celestion....

Not vintage. But a BRAND NEW, G12-K100 that I got a fantastic deal on.

This is just such a letdown, AND a hassle, AND it ties up money that I could be spending on a new speaker.

That sucks dude, I really hope that you get your money back.

If it's an ebay sale hasn't your money not yet been released to the seller?
