I recently recorded in the studio with a VH4 (chan 3 mostly) and now going back to my old amps is very unfulfilling now that I know what I'm missing.

Any chance you'll ever make something like a VH2 or something?

Maybe a loser like me could afford to pick one up then. :D

Hi,

I don´t think that there will ever be a VH2. But you could have a look at the Einstein. Perhaps this little guy will fulfill you!

How does the Einstein compare?

Like I said channel 3 is where I spent 95% of my time.

The sound is in between VH4 an Herbert. I don´t own one so I can´t specify.

Perhaps Duolos (or some of the other guys) can give you detailed information.

The Einstein will get you where you want to be for sure.

Let me clarify some things to ease the mind. A "VH2" would not cost half as much to make as a VH4. Nor would a "VH8" cost twice as much to make as a VH4. The costs are in transformers and components and we do not skimp on quality as you all know. The costs spent for an additional channel are minimal in the overall comparison...same can be said if there were less channels to an amp. The savings would be minimal. I hope this clarifies a bit.

Yeah I understand that, maybe making it 50watt? ;)

Hmm, I'll looking into the Einstein though, I'm intrigued.

Ok let me start off by saying ive never been graced with the opportunity to play a vh4. but i will say that up untill about a year ago i was a total amp crazed whore looking for the perfect amp. ive had marshalls, mesa boogies as well as vht's. :jerkit: i thought that the vhts were it for me untill one day i came upon my holy grail of amps the 50 watt einstein. i can honestly say ive not even looked at other amps since i found her. :rawk:
For me the einstein can do it all, its still a pricey little toy but if you want an opinion. go find one of these babys used and sell everything you own to get it you wont be sorry. :2thumbsup:

How much do Einsteins typically go for used?

Well I'm not willing to take the plunge, there have been a few pieces of gear I would have bought had I not tried them first.

Not to say that they aren't good amps cuz I'm sure they are, I've just got a real specific want in mind.

*Id save some money and wouldnt recommend the kidney sale... ;)

Thats the plan.

I gotta get my guitar situation settled first I think.
And then its amp saving time.

I've added the Einstein to the to try list along side the Splawn Nitro and Titan.
I've really narrowed that list down from 6 months ago, now I just gotta find these 3 amps.

Welcome to the light bro. I had to sell all my Mesa amps to get a VH4. Ever since I tried one
at GC two years ago, I knew I had to buy one.

Sell some of the stuff on your sig and you're on your way to a VH4.
Good luck.

Its honestly gonna depend on how the final mixes come out, if it has that sound I've been looking for, then deal I'll save for a VH4.
But if not I honestly will wanna give a Herbert and Einstein a shot.

You're the second person who has told me that. :D

I believe I, also known as ToneClone89 on HC, was the first.

And I will once again tell you to check out the Einstein.

...It's my favorite Diezel. Bar none.
