Hi guys,

Was messing around with the JJ this afternoon and made a quick clip of the Kamikaze in BE mode straight in, please excuse the sloppiness. :)

I wasn't sure how the Kamikaze would sound through I was pleasantly surpised. :)

** Made a second attempt **

Sounds killer! Really pissed off tone! Nice playing too - doesn't sound sloppy to me!

Thanks for the comments! The JJ has a little extra snarl to it plugged straight in (owned 2 BE 100's previously both eyelet board and newer black board versions), which works well for me either straight in or supercharged with an EQ pedal. :)

Listening back sober a day later it does sound pretty sloppy, might re-record this when I get home from work.

Ha! I don't know the tune (hides head in shame lol) so I'm excluded on the tightness comment!

Funny, I'm gonna redo my clip today as well - not hairy enuff for VH I think. I used a Timmy pedal boosting the Plexi channel (gain dimmed), just think I need to gas it a bit harder.

Made a second attempt at the clip, couldn't help myself.

All the Friedman's I've had/have sound *great* with pedals/boosts!

I've found that I prefer the BE mode in general on the models I've had, and if I need more aggression kick in a pedal. :)

If I had a Smallbox knowing myself I would end up boosting it at some point.

Although I still used/use the diode clipping and HBE mode(s) when I had my BE 100's as well of course. :)

Hell yeah, I like that even better! Did you leave everything the same setup wise? Probably just me, but the low end is just a tiny bit more clear in take two...could just be cuz you played it sober today lol, so the chords are getting focused on better, more articulate, etc. Anyway, sounds great...and that guitar is sick!

Thank you, yes rotary knob positions all the same. :)
